Make Your Voice Heard

Farm policy is not working for family farmers and ranchers. We are trapped in a broken system we did not create and cannot fix alone. A stronger farm bill can deliver real reform, strengthen the farm safety net, restore fairness to agricultural markets, and create more opportunities for family farms to thrive.

In order to get real reform, we need farmers from across the country to speak up. Whether you have one minute or one hour, there’s a way for you to get involved

Do One Thing (1-5 minutes)

• Send a letter to your member of Congress [link].

• Share a post from NFU’s social media. [Facebook], [Instagram].

• Post your farm story online, and tag NFU.

Do A Few Things (30-60 minutes)

• Submit an op-ed to your local paper about your farm and the challenges you’re facing. [link]
• Share your story on video and send it to NFU for use in the campaign. [video submission]
• Request a meeting with your member of Congress or congressional candidates, or attend an event in your community. 
• Share this page with a neighbor or fellow farmer to take one action with you.

Go All In (a few hours)

• Run coordinated social and media outreach.

• Host a farm visit for your member of Congress or a candidate so they can see these challenges firsthand. [Link]

• Recruit other farmers to film their stories and share them online or with NFU.

• Reach out to a local reporter, invite them to your farm, and share your story.
