Internships

NFU is seeking interns to assist with projects in government relations, communications, and membership. This internship provides first-hand experience in monitoring legislative and regulatory activity in the federal government, creating written or visual content for publications, planning educational and advocacy events, and providing support for the organization’s 220,000 members.

This is a full-time position, located in NFU’s Washington, D.C. office. Full-time interns should be available at least three full days per week.

While previous experience is not required, any background with Microsoft Office Suite or knowledge of agriculture, nutrition and conservation systems is highly recommended. Successful interns should be open to learning, creative, tenacious, and adaptable. 

NFU internship applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis for the following semesters:

  • Summer (Apply by April 1)
  • Fall (Apply by July 1)
  • Winter/Spring (Apply by November 1)
