As a government relations representative for National Farmers Union, Aaron Shier advocates for family farmers, ranchers, and rural communities in Congress and the executive branch.
Prior to employment with NFU, Shier worked for several years as a farm manager and apprentice, and subsequently worked on farm policy and programs at New England Farmers Union (NEFU), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
Shier graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Political Science, and from Tufts University with an M.S. in Agriculture and Food Policy.
