National Farmers Union has been the voice of family farmers, rural residents and consumers across the nation since our founding in 1902. We believe the needs of America's rural economy are every bit as important as the policy priorities of Wall Street and Corporate America. We are the dedicated voice of family farming, and we aim to preserve a sustainable economy that benefits each of us where we live, while providing domestically grown, healthy choices for consumers.

In recent years the National Farmers Union has been in the lead on renewable energy projects for agriculture, carbon credit programs for family farmers, cooperative enterprises helping to bring local farmers’ produce to market and education programs to teach the next generation of America's farmers. Your membership dues support all of these efforts and many others.
