Layne Cozzolino is the Executive Director of Central Rivers Farmshed in Stevens Point, WI. Farmshed is a nonprofit that works directly with farms to promote the local food economy in Central Wisconsin. With her husband Josh, she owns 6.5 acres right on the edge of town in Amherst, Wisconsin. Their farm is a restorative project, as they work to create a new ecosystem on the property with a mix of perennial and annual agriculture plots including fruit and nuts, mushrooms, and vegetables. Future plans include purchasing the adjacent 6 acres of land and incorporating small animals and community events into their long-term vision.
