Kat Johnson is a California girl who has spent about a decade of her life learning and working on farms in four states. In 2013 she fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountain and settled in Floyd, Virginia.  This year she is building a home and managing a new farm business on a historic family farm. Fields Edge Farm is a specialty produce farm growing organically and marketing vegetable and beef products to primarily wholesale markets. With plans to grow intentionally and develop a sustainable business model, Kat enjoys farming because it always forces her to keep trying, learning and growing.
