As Government Relations Representative for National Farmers Union, Matt Perdue advocates for family farmers, ranchers, and rural communities in Congress and the executive branch. He focuses on a broad range of agriculture policy issues.
Prior to employment with NFU, Perdue was the Special Assistant to the Administrator of USDA’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service. In his role with USDA, he provided the Administrator direct assistance on a wide variety of tasks and supported the legislative and public affairs team.
Perdue graduated from Dickinson State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Leadership Studies. He grew up on a family farm in northwestern North Dakota and is a fifth generation Farmers Union member.
