As Government Relations Representative for National Farmers Union, Matt Perdue advocates for family farmers, ranchers, and rural communities in Congress and the executive branch. He focuses on climate, conservation, energy, health care, rural development, and transportation.
Prior to employment with NFU, Perdue was the Special Assistant to the Administrator of USDA’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service. In his role with USDA, he provided the Administrator direct assistance on a wide variety of tasks and supported the legislative and public affairs team.
Perdue graduated from Dickinson State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Leadership Studies. He grew up on a family farm in northwestern North Dakota and is a fifth generation Farmers Union member.
