As the Resource Stewardship Outreach Specialist for the National Farmers Union, Leah Ellensohn works to promote increased and more effective adoption of conservation practices among Iowa producers by introducing them to the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Resource Stewardship Evaluation framework and the Resource Stewardship Evaluation Tool (RSET). RSET is a new tool and service that strengthens and modernizes conservation planning and helps farmers, ranchers and forest landowners better identify their conservation goals and improve their outcomes.
Leah Ellensohn recently graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agronomy and Seed Science. She grew up in northwest Iowa and has been involved with agricultural production her whole life. Leah has a great passion for both agriculture and conservation, and looks forward to helping Iowa farmers meet their conservation and production goals.
