David Schuller comes to Farmers Union from the Columbia Basin in eastern Washington state, one of the top potato producing regions in the nation. He serves in the new role of Digital Content and Graphic Design Specialist, where he lends his creativity and expertise to NFU’s communications. Previously, he’s worked as a digital media producer for nonprofit organizations and local businesses in the Washington, D.C. area since 2012.
He comes from a long line of ranchers and farmers, and spent his youth showing livestock at the county fair and cutting hay during summer breaks from school. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in English, with concentrations in Creative Writing and Secondary Social Studies, English, and Special Education. He’s a published writer and poet, with short fiction and poetry appearing in literary magazines like Northwest Boulevard, Willow Springs, and The Write Launch. David also enjoys photography, videography, podcasting, gardening (as much as his apartment will allow), tabletop games, baking, and boxing. You can probably find him on the weekends haunting art museums, stealing ideas.
