Peter Schwagerl, along with his wife Anne Schwagerl, have owned and operated Prairie Point Farm near Browns Valley, Minnesota since 2012. The farm raises a variety of organic and transitional grain crops. A portion of these grains are processed on-farm into feed to support a pasture-based hog operation that is direct marketed to consumers and food co-ops. Prior to farming, Peter pursued a career in academia as a researcher and educator in the field of Exercise and Applied Physiology. Pursuing health and well-being for both himself and others continues to be a driving force for Peter, and he has enjoyed seeing the positive impact that farming and responsible, healthy eating can have on achieving those goals.
