zack-teske

Zach Teske will be the sixth generation to farm his family’s land on the edge of the Flint Hills in Northeast Kansas. After spending much of his childhood on the farm, and involved in 4-H, FFA, and National Farmers Union, he left to get his degree in Business Administration from Emporia State University. Following college, Zach spent 8 years working in retail management in Omaha, NE before taking advantage of a career change that allowed him and his family to move back closer to the family farm. For the last 18 months, Zach has been operating his insurance agency with Midwest Regional Agency, offering Farmers Union Insurance as one of his main companies. This career change has afforded Zach the opportunity to get back involved with the family farm, and he is looking forward to starting the transition process of his father’s 100 plus head beef cow/calf operation into the next generation. Aside from the beef herd, the Teske family farm operates about 1000 acres of mostly native prairie, along with some row crop and wheat. Zach’s goal is to see his family’s farm successfully continue on into the next generation, while also getting his young children exposed and involved in the rural farm life.
