Part of educating consumers about how and where their food is produced is helping them to understand the food industry supply chain. NFU Director of Membership Tom Bryant talks about the small share farmers and ranchers receive from every food dollar spent, on average about 17.4-cents, while the rest of the food supply chain accounts for about 80 percent of the cost.
