Farmers and Consumers in Washington Asking Senate to Keep COOL

Contact: 202-554-1600Close to 100 farmers, ranchers and consumers are in Washington, D.C., today asking U.S. senators to oppose the omnibus appropriations bill as long as it contains a two-year delay for implementing mandatory country-of-origin labeling (COOL).
These individuals, as well as National Farmers Union leadership, will be available for comment following the cloture vote on the omnibus appropriations bill, which is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. today.
