In July 2008, the Hinchley Dairy Farm was one of the sites that Wisconsin Farmers Union President Sue Beitlich and Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton toured while on the road promoting the carbon credit program. It was clear that the Hinchley’s farm was a wonderful and unique operation.
Each year, the Hinchleys open their farm to hundreds of families and groups to tour. They want to teach others about farming, the importance of quality food and allow others to experience what a day on farm is like first-hand.
Duane and Tina Hinchley and their children, Curtis, 17, Spencer, 16, and Anna and Catherine, 10, run their family farm in Cambridge, Wis. Duane grew up on the home farm along with his two sisters and two brothers. They farm nearly 2,300 acres of cropland and milk 90 head of registered Holsteins. (more…)
