I grew up on the family farm/ranch in the Missouri River Breaks of Montana. I attended grades K-8 in a one room schoolhouse where I was the only student for the last three years. Before that my only consistent schoolmate was my older brother.

I boarded with a family in Big Sandy, MT for my high school career so I could participate in sports and cut out the long daily commute of 108 miles round trip. I graduated with honors and went on to attend MSU-Northern majoring in Agriculture Operations Technology. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in three years while working seasonally for the BLM as a Range Tech.

After graduating from college I married and began working in the health care field as an optometric assistant, I have since been promoted to clinical team lead. Since 2013 I have been actively trying to return to my agricultural roots by participating in the family farm. My husband and I would love to fully transition back into the industry in the near future.
